In a distant future where humanity has abandoned Earth in favor of colonizing the entire universe, the dangerous job of piloting ships has been delegated to androids. When one of those pilots goes on a murderous rampage, it's set to be decommissioned by the Magnus-Barlowe corporation. Unfortunately, this AI is self-aware, and the engineer is an idiot. A scientist staging a prison break steals both a ship and the android to be its pilot, hoping to escape the claws of capitalism. An opportunity to do just that is presented when the mismatched crew is presented with a task: rescue the kidnapped daughter of a black-market salesman and be granted safe passage to a planet without a single MBC colony to bother them. Even though making deals with thieves is generally regarded as a bad idea, there doesn't really seem to be a choice for these wayward souls. Luca, born into a Soviet working-class family and the backup cosmonaut for the rescue mission, crash-lands with his crew on the exact planet his space buddy was on before, Charles T. Kipple is still pressuring the military and science to allow more research for his own greed, but the very head and heart of Planet 51's military has newly found morals and instincts to protect the humans he now sees as mutual. It's a fight about one's own role, other people's roles, and how each individual sees themselves or how they see others. Galactus looked at John with more stoic eyes now. He had done many things in the past and he made many bad decisions. He just wasn't sure what John was referring to so he was silent. John seeing that Galactus was silent and refused to speak said "Black Winter is coming!!" ------------- When a cinephile and an otaku/weeb travels through dimensions and gets a system which can only be described as overpowered but comes with restrictions. At first he was overjoyed with the system but soon realizes that he is in a very dangerous world where his life was at risk all the time. An intelligent entity by the name of Unilife captures the attention of an ancient alien race, who must decide whether or not to make first contact with the human race in order to stop this fast-learning, genocidal entity . . . And after encountering the entity themselves, Humanity must decide between fighting Unilife to the bitter end, or fleeing the Milky Way Galaxy altogether. This short story is a precursor to other writings to come. Essentially, I'm using my experience from writing this as a springboard for future planned projects. Sidenote: this project was originally drafted in Google Docs. For some reason, when copying over to Wattpad, Wattpad converts all the em dashes to regular hyphens. Be on the lookout for that, as it completely slaughters the meaning of certain sentences and phrases which use em dashes. They massacred each and every last one that bear the blood of man. Their fleets left a trail of blood and destruction behind them. their armies, numbered in the trillions, were no match for even the strongest weapons of man. And yet, even as the planet-wide city of Earth burned and the entire human population massacred at the trails of the xeno gunfire. There were still survivors. The 3rd fleet, having been late for the final battle, was forced to flee. The already damaged fleet, along with the refugees on board, had engaged their FTL drives and escaped from the xeno's grasped. they had slipped away from total annihilation and arrived somewhere foreign.
