Living with his unusual looks and autism doesn't really make it easy to make friends, especially when everybody in the orphanage were a bunch of pricks. He was also raped when he was 16 in an alley by some disgusting guy, when he told his parents what happened they gave him the scar that is on his left cheek, they called him a disgusting and weak beta plus that he would be nothing more than a disappointment.
