Zoe and the gladers have been rescued from W.C.K.D by an unknown organization.
Or have they? When Thomas discovers what they feared the gladers find themselves on a harrowing journey through the scorch. A desert wasteland where death might be just over the next sandbar. On their way to find the right arm, mountain people, their friendships and love for each other is thoroughly tested.
