Orion is in middle school. The years of his life that everyone says are the worst. He does struggle with anxiety and depression but other than that, they think things for them are pretty good. He has a group of friends, a good family, an amazing cat, Styx, and a crush on one of his close friends. They are interested in astronomy and greek mythology; which leads to plenty of nights spent stargazing and reading about greek gods and goddesses. Those hobbies, along with art, reading, and poetry, all help Orion in difficult times.
Various events happen, leading to Orion to struggle a lot with their mental health.Everything begins to go downhill in their life, leading to him almost ending things for good. There's still hope for things to get better, but of course it's difficult to see that when it's all bad at the moment and your struggling with depression. Something, someone, anything really; Orion needs anything to give him hope, even if it's small.

Why do bad things happen to good people? A question that his boy is making himself more then ever this days. From the beginning we see a 17 year old boy, struggling to finish high School, filled up with insecurities, mental health issues, a toxic family home, and impossible standards to live up to. He has learn to not only hate his life, but to want finish it off as fast as possible. Close to finally graduating high school his English teacher, Mr Steve, assigns the class a special progect. "To be able to see life through different eyes, and write about it." For this, Mr Steve gets his class to assist a hospital 3 times a week, and assigns each student, with a patient. This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it. Through out the report the boy gets more and more involved in Royal's life, spending unfortunately moments together. But through out the journey he asks himself more and more. Two boys, Hunter and Jackson, have observed the nighttime sky every night since they were little. When Hunter gets a girlfriend, he starts to notice that Jackson is acting weird around him. Especially when he brings his girl around. As someone who has struggled with anxiety, I tried to do something a little different with my writing style this time by including a lot of thoughts and feelings rather than a ton of description and detail.
