New York, 1810, Adelia Blackwood has just turned 20 without ever being courted. While multiple boys tried, she would always deny them. She was longing for someone different. This is when she meets Everett Davenport, he's mysterious, charming, gorgeous, and of course a vampire. No one could know that the only man she was interested in was a vampire.

(Racism simply doesn't exist in the story, written in journal format, there is main character death, and there might be smut later on)

With tensions running high and emotions at the forefront, the couple faces the ultimate test of their love and resilience. TW: cancer fic - I would advise not to read if this topic is something that is sensitive for you. This is a fic I previously posted on AO3 but have now added here. This was also originally done in two parts/stories but I am just going to add it all as one on here. Please Note: I am not medical professional so there is likely medical inaccuracies throughout this story. It's all fiction.
