They told him he was "The Chosen one" and "The Child of Prophecy"

They said he was the one who was chosen to bring back peace...
just like his father did.

They showered him with love and care.

They said 'follow our example', 'we're kind' despite the forgotten blood they had on their hands.

They said he was the only one who had been chosen for the role of Savior...
that the gods had chosen him themselves.

If so, why couldn't he remember the first five years of his life?

This may or may not be a prequel.
