"What is love?"

That's the most used questions since the dawn of time, but it really does make you wonder, right?

It's this crazy thing you feel every single time they look at you. It's the smile you wear everyday when you are with that person. It's that thunderbolt shot straight to your heart that makes you feel alive. Love makes you dive head-first into a situation you don't even bother thinking through. It is as exciting as cliff diving, as magical as star gazing. It feels like thousands stars shinning on you, but it hurts like the devil is burning you.

Its all rainbows and smiles if you share love mutually, but have you ever wondered how it would be if it was one-sided? If it was unrequited? If you were merely loved as a FRIEND? It would hurt a thousand times more than a meteor falling straight at you. Yes, it will definitely hurt so bad, but it's not how much it hurts that matter. It's the question of how big you are willing to sacrifice for that person, that matters.

Caleb tried. How about you?

Lost to the true definition of love, Brie meets Adrian, a man daring enough to love her though he knows it may not end well. She falls hard for him, her reality of love far greater than her fantasies, but when a familiar pain resurfaces in paradise, and she feels like she may be walking down memory lane, will she have it in her to fight? Or is the fear of going through anything that resembles her childhood greater than her dream to finally find love? Love meets reality in this epic novel. *** "Excuse me, you seem lost in thought. Did you want to buy something or do I need to direct you home again?" "What?" She laughs, "It was a joke, Jeez. The last time you were in here you seemed like you had a sense of humor. Where'd that go?" "I have this neighbor who basically sucks the life and humor out of people. Unfortunately, I am a recent victim." "I know how that feels, trust me. I have one in my life too." "Anyway, what can I do for you Mr. ..." "Please call me Adrian." "Okay Adrian, what can I do for you today?" "Actually, I was passing by, and I thought I should say thank you for the other day." "That's nice, but you didn't have to. I didn't really do anything a human being wouldn't." "Hey, don't sell yourself short. You did a lot for me. If you didn't save my ass, I may have been a missing person by now, or worse that guy on the news they keep saying is nowhere to be found." "How can I argue when you mentioned the guy on the news. The news never lies, and I'm sure you don't either. You're right, I should be thanked for saving a life." "Not just A life, but many lives. Think of my poor mother and my friends and family. How would they live without me, huh?" "You're right, I saved a generation that day." We're both laughing very hard and it feels just right. Talking to her was easy.

There are relationships with no special labels though you share a special bond. When you two are together, there is magic and there is connection. Everything about you two are in sync. You share the same interests. Sometimes you think alike. You enjoy doing most things together. You laugh, smile, giggle, frown, pout and raise eyebrows on funny and crazy stuff. You do crazy things together and are crazy about each other. This is the kind of relationship where Lucien and I are in. In other words, we do stuff what boyfriends/girlfriends do. We go out, date, drink, wine and dine, chill, hang out, etc. Call it friends with benefits? Hmm.. maybe not. It's more than that. He loves me. I love him. No doubt about that. It is unspoken but like what the expression says, "Actions speak louder than words." Is it complicated? Hell yeah but ironically, it makes it less complicated. No fights. No headaches. No stress. No LQs.
