For the booksmart yet naïve 16-year-old Nicky, high school in her quaint little hometown island in the Philippines had always been predictable. Until that senior year. Nicky thought she got things all figured out. She'd be very good at school and be the valedictorian of the single-section class of 2010 of the highly looked-up science high school in their island. And then, she'd get a full scholarship to her dream university. All was fairly well except for a few things like grappling her feelings towards a long-time crush. Just when Nicky thought she could get through high school without too much boy-drama, a somewhat seemingly love life with a boy or two and suddenly, maybe even three was finally catching up with her during the last few months before high school graduation. She had never thought she could be wrong about a person. And that she could always be wrong about boys... ✨✨✨ Sidenote: I wrote this from November 2010 to April 2011, only a year ahead from the time set in the novel. Senior high school was probably one of the best moments in life, at least for certain folks. We learn the meaning of life from those periods. It only happens 3 years for the majority of people. But the moments still linger on our mind. Example? Here it goes... "They say teenage romance is awkward-but nobody said it would come with strawberry perfume, secret siblings, and a weeb girl who could read minds..." "'Are you seriously making out with your twin?!' I screamed. Dani stood frozen. Daisy ran. And somehow... this all started with candied flowers." "An absolute affection coming from absurd person? Shining Glasses included... such an irony". And many more absurdity follows... Putra, a normal student that has been dragged everywhere... This story is based on an Indonesian High School, where a male teen discovers a new perspective on affection. *Notes - Sorry for my basic, amateurish English and story telling. He's what you call a chivalrous man, who knows how to treat others with love and care because he's showered with endless love by his doting parents. He's blessed with everything but never did he take anything for granted. All he aims for is to make his parents proud and marry his lady love with whom he's been in love with for don't know how many years unknown of the fact that she loves him too. Will she acknowledge her feelings for him or shoo them away ?? Will they bloom in love or part their ways while having each other in their hearts, calling it their kind of forever?
