Rex is a young kid who was facinated by the world of pokemon and pokemon trainers seeing them working together side by side, one day he and his friend hop saw Leon compete in many pokemon battles and become a champion the two were amaze on how cool Leon was when he defeated the champion and claimed the title they decided to become pokemon trainers and surpass leon

One day when rex turned 13 his father who was working overseas in the kanto region, knows how jealous rex is of hop that he got his first pokemon wooloo sent him a present a pokeball containing his partner a charmander with a note saying that his dad got in contact with people who are experts in a phenomenon in galar and that his charmander can gigantimax

A - Leaf is not replaced by Lyra, both characters are different in their own ways. I wanted to get Leaf out of the picture for a different kind of character growth. Lyra is Red's cousin sister, with Red being an experienced trainer, he acts like a mentor to her. Q - So time travel happens in this one? A - It does, and its fun how it plays out. Q - Who is this Masked Man? There was a masked man in the manga too. A - While the idea was original, a mystery man who structures every Team Rocket plan and assists Giovanni. I was shocked to see that the manga had someone named "Masked Man" as well. Q - Who is this Masked Man? And why is he important? A - A mystery man controlling every aspect of a criminal organisation and has been the true mastermind of Giovanni's every plan? Sounds pretty important to me. As for his identity, I was very unsure if I was ever going to reveal it as it was not very important at first until the second book was coming to an end.
