'The Fight of the Century.' The first heavyweight boxing match between a black man and a white champion took place in 1910. Drago, who was the heavyweight champion ran for years avoiding this powerful contender claiming that the most coveted prize in sports was to prestigious to be held by a black person. In this racially divided time, black boxers were only permitted to fight other black boxers, and could not fight for the heavyweight title. They could only compete for the 'coloured championship' and it was almost forbidden for a black man to step into the ring with a white man. But, some paths must eventually cross.

Lewis Parker's life seemed perfect-until it wasn't. For years, his world followed a predictable rhythm. A steady family, a loving girlfriend, and friends who were always by his side. But one fateful year, everything changed. His father walked out, his girlfriend shattered his heart, and his friends turned their backs on him. Overwhelmed by heartbreak, betrayal, and an all-consuming sense of loss, Lewis spiralled into a dark place of depression, anxiety, and uncontrollable anger. In the midst of this turmoil, Lewis stumbled upon something unexpected: boxing. What started as a way to channel his rage soon became a transformative force in his life. With every punch, he not only fought his inner demons but began to rebuild himself, learning lessons about strength, resilience, and self-worth that extended far beyond the ring. Through boxing, Lewis found not only a way to defend himself but a new purpose, a newfound confidence, and-most importantly-a sense of belonging. He forged new friendships, found love, and built a family within the sport that had once been his escape. As he rises through the ranks to become a professional boxer, Lewis doesn't just fight for victory-he fights for redemption. The world would come to know him as the most famous rookie in boxing history. But for Lewis, it was never just about the fame. It was about reclaiming his life-and his future-one punch at a time.
