An unofficial retelling of the poem based on Biblical creation by John Milton. 

I got this idea from watching Wendigoon's video on the poem. First of all I think this would be a great script for a movie, but also I want to see if I could tackle it from a book perspective. Also, read the poem if you want to get the full experience. I'm just writing this without the old English vocabulary and delivering it in the best way I can possible without having unnecessary exposition (which works for poetry and not for a book) and compressing the story in that it cuts the fat and gets to the point. I'm also giving some notes on certain names and what they relate to and where Milton gathered these concepts and ideas from.

To state it plainly, like Wendigoon, I am a Christian, so I'm not writing this thing lightly because there is reverence to these names that I'm putting on paper, digital paper that is. This is not the beat-for-beat account of the actual creation story, and it should not be taken as such. It's merely an expansion on certain ideas and characters that is a "could be" or a "what if" situation. If you are a Christian reading this, take it with a grain of salt. If you aren't a Christian, maybe this opens up a new thought for you and you become more interested in Christianity (no I'm not forcing anything down anybody's throats). Either way, this is to be seen just as Wendigoon describes: Biblical Fanfiction. 

So, with that being said, I hope you enjoy this. It's been a while since I've written anything on this app, so I'm going to try and keep up with this consistently. With that being said, let's get started.

Dont expect this to update regularly. I'm not much of writer sometimes, but I thought I'd give it a try. Also this is very original, I'm definitely not regurgitating the same concept over and over again. Eighteen-year-old Neil Martin escapes his family and past by moving across the disintegrating country to participate in the Middleton Academy. A special ops-esque program, it promises an escape from poverty for anyone who manages to stick out the intense and traumatizing year, rewarding them with money, education, health care, and, above all, a chance to live without fearing for one's life, which is something worth pursuing in a world growing increasingly dangerous for the 99%. He quickly realizes all he's done is jump straight into the fire itself, as he attempts to navigate regular threats to his life, a partner who seems set on causing the two of them to flunk out and end up on the streets, and trauma from his past that he doesn't know how to deal with. vibes: although i've been writing my whole life, i mostly write poetry. so i guess my warning is don't take on this story expecting to see a plotline or world you've never seen before. instead, this is all about the characters trying to work through trauma in a way that maybe can resonate. additionally, i tried to bring in a religious trauma theme. as someone who grew up in a fundementalist religion, i wish there was more content with ex-fundie kids, without making the religion the central aspect. that's all this is: a few more silly little characters to contribute in hopes that people might more easily find themselves in what they read and watch. that being said, i can at least offer paragraph breaks and decent-ish spelling and grammar. :) (this story has already been written and revised a bit; I'm uploading it as I do some *final* edits.) trigger warnings: pretty much everything :/

I struggled with writing this and, as you will soon understand, though I knew how to write it, writing it and thinking about it was difficult. This is an experimental project I'm working on, a collection of modern "fables, fairytales, and folk stories" told in a frame story (a traditional story that houses sub-stories, like 1,001 Nights or the Pentamerone). The frame story follows a group of beauty pageant contestants who, in an attempt to make the contest more palatable to an increasingly polarized audience, compete to tell the best folk tale. I don't want this project to reflect solely my views--I want it to be more communal, which is why I'm opening these stories up for comments! After hearing about Israel's Conquest of the land of Canaan & rumors spreading about their God amongst the commanders officers, he willingly sets out on a diplomatic mission to bring to the tribes of Israel gifts, going to Kedesh-Naphtali Priam comes into conflict with Sisera a Canaanite commander of 10,000 Canaanites & 900 chariots, meets Barak of Ephraim before he became a commander, & the prophet Deborah who led Israel at the time. The story continues on with the birth of Paris & how he came to be as a shepherd boy with his guardians Agelaus & Harpru, & his friends Ankenaus, Brutus, Francus, Achates, & Oenone to how he becomes the prince of Troy meeting his half siblings Deiphobus, Troilus, Hectoris, & others.

It started out with just wanting to write a cute little series of one-shots, but this story has become the light of my life. What I thought would get maybe 200 reads max has blossomed into 20,000. It came to a trainwreck of a stop last summer, but due to begging from multiple fans, I've agreed to write a sequel. This is the future of Percabeth, inspired by the user PercyAnnabeth20Owl and the fanfiction entitled Percy and Annabeth-Their Future. ~ I was contacted by PercyAnnabeth20Owl and we are now doing a collab, so unfortunately the sequel's release date is going to be postponed. But seriously, this book contains a lot of toxic stuff so if you're going to read it just be aware. Also I wrote this when I was like 12 soooo yikes but that also means I was writing about things that I had no real knowledge of. Please educate yourself and if I do ever decide to rewrite this cursed book I will be sure to acknowledge some more of the things in this story that are a bit too much.
