BLACK EYES // JUDE BELLINGHAM

22-year-old Catalina Montes Ortiz has been living in Madrid her whole life. She splits her time between a job at an art gallery and her found family at a café.

But what happens when she meets her knight in shining armour while waiting tables?

'But we have a deal, right?' Jude asked sceptical and with hope in his eyes.
'Yes,' Catalina extended her right hand and he shook it ', we have a deal.'

'Oh, I don't think it's gonna be that bad. People get bored of stuff like this quickly.'
'I just don't get why you're doing it. It's just not like you ... it's so irrational.'
'Tía Emilia, I think I've hidden from the world for long enough now. This might be just what I need to get out there again, to really be alive again.'

'Are you sure about this?' Jude asked.
'Are you?'
Instead of answering, Jude got a pen from the kitchen, flipped to the last page of the contract and signed on the left line. Catalina took the pen after him and repeated the action on the right side.

...

'Hey. How was the drive? I heard it gets pretty busy in the city on Saturday evenings.' Jude replied after 'defrosting'.
'It was nice. I enjoy seeing Madrid this alive.' Catalina answered his question and moved on to her second shoe.
'Those don't look comfortable.' Jude commented on that action.
Catalina quickly tied up the shoes and walked over to Jude.
'But they look sexy.' She whispered into his ear.

Suddenly he threw Catalina over his left shoulder. She squirmed in surprise and then started to wiggle.
'No chance, Cat. I'm not letting you go.' He said and jumped into the pool with her.
