A world without magic is a world without life. That's what my father told me before he disappeared. I grew up in a little shack, barely scraping by. It was just me and my dad, as my mom passed away before I even uttered my first word. Some days, we couldn't even manage to have a single meal. Life was tough, but amidst it all, I held onto hope. Hope for a brighter future, a future that my dad always spoke of. He filled my mind with tales of the Stormy Seas and Deserted Islands, painting a vivid picture of a world beyond our own. He made me believe that something extraordinary was waiting out there, just for us. He had been talking about this mysterious "something" since I was a baby, and he swore that he would sail the vast waters to find it, to change our lives forever. And so, the day finally came when he embarked on his life-changing journey, leaving behind a 14-year-old me. Little did I know that it would be the last time I would ever see him. It has been four long years, but deep down, I know he's still out there, somewhere, chasing that elusive dream. And now, after all this time, I'm ready to pick up where he left off. The Light That Shines From Above
Heather has lived her entire life believing her mother is crazy. She doesn't believe the stories that were told to her as a child, the stories about men descending from the sky to take her. She rejects the false narratives and tries to help her mother the best she can even if that means constantly moving and preparing for the men to come back. She doesn't envision a life beyond this, never expected to leave her mother until she is forced to in the most unexpected way. When the men from the sky take her instead. *** It was a short debate but enough to push me over the edge. Pher was right. I was making this too difficult. I should just do it. I had been fighting myself on this for too long. I didn't care what he was, I wanted this. I stared at his lips as he spoke, my own tingling in response. "I could show you that if you wanted. Most of the other things you can do are outside of the esta-" I pushed up on my toes and crashed my mouth to his. My actions were unexpected and rushed. I could tell by his reaction. He reared back but not enough to separate us. His hand flashing to my arm to still us and then he froze. I thought for a second, based on his lack of response, I had picked the wrong time. Or maybe he had changed his mind from two days ago. I went to pull away, flushing lightly with embarrassment. I didn't get to disconnect our lips before he unfroze and reacted. His grip tightened, his other one going to my hair to hold my head in place as he kissed me back with more intent than I even had started with. My body flushed for a different reason now.Complete
Dream Journal and Analysis
I want to start by saying I am no Psychologist, nor do I specialize in any sort of study of the mind. I just happen to have very strange dreams that I prefer to write on paper (ironically) and analyze them myself and how I feel it resembles what I truly think about when I'm not in control. When i'm asleep. each chapter will be a new dream I have experienced and me just ripping it piece by piece to uncover what it is I think about. The Alphas Mermaid
The alphas mermaid I looked into the eyes of the alpha, his deep blue eyes you could get lost in. I was snapped out of my trance by being pulled by my brother. I looked at him confused untill I looked back at the alpha to see his eyes full of fury and being held by a beta and a pack worrier. "You are to weak to be my mate! You are a human! You will never succeed." He growled. I looked at him wide eyed. They don't know what and who we are, all I know is that the alpha wolf is my mate... I'm a mermaid, the last purple tailed mermaid and hunted by many, and I'm in hiding. I smiled and walked up to him changing my eyes to my bright purple and looking at him. "If you only knew" then I turned on my heels walking out of he school with my brothers in tow. ------------- Bryce is the next alpha of the Dark Moon pack. He is the player, the normal non-mated alpha. He has bright blue eyes and black hair. When he meets his mate he is outraged to find out that she is human....or so he thinks.
