Deep in the Sea of Trees, near the Snowcrest Mountains lies the minuscule village of Asura. The people of Asura are hardy, superstitious folk, bound together through their isolated location and the historical relevance of being founded before the Kingdom of Sunspire took its first breath. It's the sort of place where winter takes no prisoner, where the dangers of the wild are just as prevalent as the unknown.

Adelaide Bäcker knows the superstitious nature of her people all too well. The whispers of the village and the incessant bullying of the other children who called her a Changling growing up have followed her into adulthood. In a place where being called a Changeling can bring a death sentence Adelaide does her best to blend in, well as best as her orange hair allows that is. If it were up to Adelaide she would spend all her time in her father's bakery or enjoying the company of her sisters, but since it isn't up to Adelaide her brother is inheriting the bakery and her mother is intent on her getting married.

It just so happens to be Adelaide's luck that the only ones interested in her marriage are men over the age of forty or her long-time bully Aeron Schmidt who is determined to make Adelaide miserable for the rest of her life.

Yet, a chance encounter with a Fae has her life spiraling towards disaster and everything she knows turning upside down.

The village isn't the only thing buried in the snow, secrets start to surface that put Adelaide in the path of death.

Frozen Fear Book. 2 by AshtonMarie

{Completed} Highest Ranking: #9 in Fantasy (02/01/17) Book. 2 Mab was as magnificent and alluring as always, her skin as pale as porcelain in the silvery moonlight. Her hair was a sterling gray, a curtain of silk running over her shoulders and down to her naval, her black dress a startling yet marvelous contrast to her pale beauty. I was captivated, for a moment, by the weight of her piercing gaze. I could see the years she lived there, the weight of the loss she'd endured, the heaviness of immortality. But yet, her stare didn't hold as much power as it used too. Not only could I see her burden, but I could see the fear of dying. ------------ Freak. Mutt. Half-Breed. Eve Scotts has left the Winter Palace in shackles with Sebastian, whose memories were wiped clean, stumbling beside her. But she can't forget everything she'd left behind: her people who desperately need her - to save them from her cruel mother, Mab, and a certain elven knight that made her question everything - Foster Quinn. He helped her in her time of need, and involuntarily, she fell for him. Determined to save Foster from her mother's evil clutches, Eve must convince Akan Ford and the rest of the Order to allow her to slip back into Tir Na Nog to steal her mothers amulet, and retrieve Sebastian's memories. And possibly end the devastating reign of Queen Mab. But there's a problem. Eve's guilt is eating her alive. She just can't get over killing Sebastian's sister. A storm is brewing, thick and heavy and the secrets hidden by both sides are as shocking as they are deadly. This electrifying next novel in the Wicked Winter Chronicles goes into more depth of the hatred between witch and fae, and sets Eve against the darkness that has grown on her soul like a plague. In Saileora, power hums beneath the soil, ancient and untamed. Seeker Wrain, princess and heir to a throne that feels more like a cage, has always sensed it, both around and inside her. But the whispers of that hidden force - the stirring of magic, the heartbeat of the land - have never explicitly belonged to her. Until now. When an impossible void tears through the quiet countryside, leaving her kingdom's fields in ruins and the skies heavy with shadows, Seeker is thrust into a world of secrets she never asked to inherit. The dragons - the ancient gods of her people - are no longer the benevolent protectors of legend. One of them, Ascklees, has risen from his grave, burning with a hatred that could ignite all of Saileora. The land calls for heroes, but Seeker has never been one. Not the fierce warrior like her childhood friend Calix Clearbow, who walks in the light with unwavering bravery, nor the brilliant Dr. Rockbrow who seems to bend the world to her will. No, Seeker is something else entirely. A quiet storm, an unread book filled with power she does not yet understand. But there are others like her. Other Omnicircies - rare wielders of all the Subcirces, whose power has the potential to shape the fate of kingdoms. And they are waiting, hidden among the peaks of Vidya, the shores of Blissia and Brashar, and the deserts of Sadya. Only together can they confront the gathering storm, but first, they must be found. In The Dragon's Call, nothing is as it seems. Every smile hides a secret, every whisper holds a danger. Power calls to those who dare to listen, but power demands a price - one that not everyone will survive. Are you ready to heed the call?

A Steampunk/ Gaslamp Fantasy Romance set in the industrial revolution era of a fictional world. Magic, mad science, multicultural ambiance, and political intrigue all tightly laced up into one corset and powered by the steam of two romances - one F/M and one M/M. For mature audiences, 18+. ~~~*~~~ All creations carry a trace of the maker's ethereal energy, whether deliberately placed in the magical Artifacts made by the Alchemists, or unwittingly left in the handiwork of ordinary people. Kazia can feel that energy, in both machines and people. She may not be able to do any of the grand magic other Alchemists can, but give her a damaged machine and she can trace its energy to the problem, and know precisely how to repair it. She does have one other ability. One far more dangerous. One she will never acknowledge, and will never use. Fleeing her villainous father rather than becoming his pawn, Kazia finds a peaceful life on a farm in a neighboring country, where no one knows that she is the daughter of Prince Gorvan Devratha. But with war looming between her birth country of Valesk and her new home in Caedra, how long can that peaceful life last? She can be safe in the Caedran capital, among the Queen's Alchemists, but will anyone there trust her - especially the handsome but embittered Lord Kelvaran Meratha, who suspects Kazia's father of murdering his family? Abrizhen is Kazia's older brother. He does his best to play the role of the Prince's good son and heir, but when tasked with retrieving his wayward sister, he must return to the city he'd called home for many of his youthful years. There he'll have to reckon with his past, and finally choose between the life of a dutiful prince, or the welfare of his sister - and the rekindling of an old flame. ~~~*~~~ Please see the introduction for detailed content warnings.
