They'd been getting closer to each other day by day, and Marinette felt so sure about this. But once she gets to Adrien, she freezes as Kagami gives him a kiss on the cheeks. Marinette feels her heart throb in pain, and she runs away in jealousy. She'd wanted to be the first girl to hear Adrien say "I love you."
