Nearly a century after the great calamity, mankind has been united against a malady that, when contracted, makes the host go stark-raving mad. Cerebrum Morbus, also known as the mad flu, is so virulent that the only thing standing between the disease and the whole of humanity is a cap that has been designed to protect the prefrontal cortex from deteriorating. When Evelyn is accepted into the neuro-specialist unit, a medical branch specifically designated toward combating the plague, she wonders if she can help to conquer the disease once and for all. However, she soon discovers that not everything may be as it initially seems.
