Epiphany
First hundreds of flickers of knowledge
In a gnarled galaxy
Expanding rapidly
Now the
Sudden
Crashing,
Implosion
of a dying star.
Taking a
MOMENT
to gaze at the nude paintings
Hanging in my bedroom
a Supernova.
Behold:
The nudes become animated
The two of them
Behind my back
Frantic swings of the limbs look as though choreographed
To capture droplets of time
But the nudes collapse into blank canvases
Under my wicked gaze
Picasso winked
And plopped stars unto the Milky Way
That collapsed under the gravity of
A forked tongue
The figures hitched upon my wall
Painted with the essence of night
Grab their sunken faces
And scream for an orange sky
Clutching a knife that
Once gave breath to color,
I carve my wish;
Je veux ton sang peinture pour ma toile!
Upon guilty walls
Signé
~la Fauve!~
Under the echo of my boots, the galaxy cried
Laisse faire
Il ne était pas la seule pour moi!
And to this I offer
My severed ear
To the sorry knight who
Hurled his chivalry and honor
Under cloven hooves
He is unclean to me!
He is unclean to me!
Moses peeked over a nebula when he heard
All the ruckus
I collapse
Shoulders heaving to the heartbeat of a clock
My masterpiece
The craven wall painted
