A jaded detective is assigned to investigate a kidnapping case in a small town after being abducted from the city he loves. In the case file he needs to delve into, there's a troubling pattern of babies being abducted from the hospitals they were born in, with no trace of the suspect to be found. As he carries out his duty in the town he visited to fulfill his mission, the detective will gradually form a friendship with a woman who happens to be his neighbor.
