A Shinobi or a Hero?

Humans, the ever changing bastards. That's what is the worst thing about them.

Changing at the whim of their hands.

Just like their nature, so did their way of living change.

After the Age of Chakra, just when people were trying to settle in peace with some sense of normality and no one throwing ridiculous forbidden jutsus around, all it took was a small, non-harmful bacteria to enter into the human blood to give them new weird power called Quirks.

But what they forgot was that their way changed, but not their enemies.

All of them forgot, exception of a few individuals, who try not only to be normal, pretend that their powers due to chakra are quirks, but also deal with the enemies of their age, enemies that are way to strong and unnatural for these disease filled people to be conquered.

So, they work, unsure whether their work will be recognized or not, unsure whether they fall in the next battle or not, unsure whether they will be alive to see the face of future with their own blood running around, bringing smile and happiness to their faces.

Unsure, they only work with one surety.

That every battle they win, every enemy they conquer, means that Humanity sleeps without worry and wakes up without with renewed hope of building a better future.

Thus, they become something that the people do not know, but need the most.

All of them become the Earth's first and line of defence against an unknown enemy.

Only so that Humanity could enjoy another day of freedom.
