The Abyss Herald cupped Barbatos's jaw in one large hand, meeting the Archon's sad-almost pitying-gaze. "What I must... I must break you, little archon."

Or: Venti gives himself to save Mondstadt, but his punishment isn't what he expected. Past and present trauma come hurdling back to him as an Abyss plot unfolds and he's kidnapped by the Prince himself. Venti wishes that someone could save him from drowning, but gods can't cry to their followers.

While this is polyam, VenXiao is more love at first sight, whilst AeVen and Xiaother are more slowburn. The first three chapters are simply for context, and completely skippable if you've played through Liyue's archon and Xiao's story quests. Also, I'm using Aether instead of Lumine because he's the traveler I picked.
