Catrina loves the Shire. She loves the peace and quiet. But when Bilbo Baggins, one of the most sophisticated hobbit in the Shire disappears after yelling something about an adventure, she begins to wonder. Was he all right? But soon she forgets about Bilbo, because dwarves begin to show up at her home, and she sets out on an adventure of her own. To protect the Pathfinder jewel from the evil that longs for it, and to warn Lord Dain of the Iron Hills of a great battle. Will she make it through? Or will Catrina turn her back on the quest altogether and go back to her peaceful Hobbiton?

She never thought about love, that was until she met a certain black haired dwarf, who wasn't like the others. He was caring and funny, however on certain occasions quite flirty. However very handsome. There adventure across middle-earth is dangerous and life threatening, they come across goblins, orcs, dragons and giant spiders. Making new friends along the way such as Legolas and Bard. What will happen when her love for a dwarf gets in her way of war? Can she cope when her heart shatters or will she sacrifice herself to save her loved ones and once again be reunited with the love of her life? Do they all survive the dangerous quest ahead of them? Alvena wanted everything a warrior could get. Even though she never used or touched a single weapon in her whole life except for a shovel she imagined to be a sword. Alvena's wish was about to happen when one faithful day Gandalf the Grey stops by with some strange dwarves and offers Bilbo an Adventure of a lifetime. Alvena dreamed of going thus she made a deal with the dwarves and Gandalf that if she persuaded Bilbo to come then she could also come with them.
