Each of the stories you are about to read are more than fifty percent true. Some parts you won't believe. Some stories are completely true. Feel free to ask my kids which of these stories are true. They might tell you. They might not. They have firsthand knowledge of many of the sites and the people involved (many are still alive). I have had them ask, "Hey, dad, is that where (name of story) happened?" I have included photos (in the printed book) for proof. I was going to include explanations describing how each story panned out. It just did not seem as fun. So, have you ever walked into a room, stepped into a wood, or smelled something and immediately felt transported to another place, time, or life? I have. That is what it was like writing these stories--a trip down memory lane of some scary moments in my life. I rewrote these stories until my oldest son rated them as such: "As a story, I would rate it a 9, and for scariness, a 4." I was originally going to title the book, "Short And (Not-so) Scary Stories." It might have been a better title. I don't know. You be the judge. Enjoy. --KK

Well, what would have made me leave my one month daughter in front of the orphanage door , as her mother what pushed me to the extent of leaving her,not being there to see her first sit,crawl,walk ,hear her say her first words hoping it would be related to me, hear her call out to me when she cried, stay up at night with her singing some lullaby,read her some stories, tell her that there was a prince charming who would love her as her father loved me but where was I , staying far away from her, God knows how terrible a mother I was leaving her without even looking back. "I love you Treasure, always and forever, I'm sorry darling, I'm really sorry", I said as I cried telling myself do I really have to do this then I left without turning back hoping she would never hate me,she would remember how much I love her.

Time was standing annoyingly still and I think I may have forgotten how to properly breathe. "Panda you have to come sit down pacing is not going to-" pushing my hand out I stopped him from saying anything. I stopped him from confirming the knowledge that there is nothing I can do to make this better. I pulled at my hair ripping a couple of strands out in the process. I hated the white walls and fluorescent lights that adorned this place. The squeaky sound that could be heard whenever anyone walked and right now I was causing a lot of squeaking. The strong smell of disinfectant burning my nose but none of it matter right now not any of it. "Where is he?" I heard the voice and my blood immediately started to boil. "You did this" was the last thing I said before I flew and was on top of his mom hitting her wildly. So much for not liking confrontation.

I was walking to work one morning when a bag gets thrown over my head and I'm jerked back by two arms encircling my waist. My parents always told me this could happen as my father is the judge and put a high profile murderer behind bars. He set the bail at 1.2 million dollars and I honestly don't know why my father is still alive. I was in the courtroom but the little girl who was sitting next to me- maybe thirteen, so not really little- said there's no way he did it. Kids are a pretty good judge of character but I had to agree that some things looked off when the evidence was shown. The next thing I know the bag is pulled up some and a rag is put over my mouth and nose. I cringe inwardly at how cliché it is but hey chloroform does the trick and I'm out before we started moving.

Lion Wilkins now he is your typical bad boy and what's your bad boy without his crew he knows only of darkness and can sense it a mile away so what happens when he sits next to the innocent maly and begins to feel possessive. Will these two help each other break down the walls between them or will it be too late to find an opening guess we will find out. I guess a lot of things can happen behind closed doors --------- Excerpt from book: I was writing when a presence shocked me when I heard the chair pull out next to me it was him but I didn't look but I still could smell the coconut and wood scented aftershave ;it caught me off guard but proceeded to strangle me as I tried to ignore his god like figure next to me until I heard the most velvet and gooey voice ever say "hey what is your name?"
