Red Running Hood - Fractured Fairytales Series

The wolves of the wood who were once men who had families and lives had been those victimized by the old legend, men were chosen by members of a group of individuals only to be forced to eat the flesh of a newborn baby; then banished to live amongst the wolves and be taken in by the pack, those who were once men were turned into beasts during a full moon. By doing this, the village believed they would save their homes from destruction and massacre, in hopes one day that if a dire individual was to find themselves lost in the forest and discovered by a pack of hungry wolves, the man that had been banished many years before, would save the life of the individual, saving him from or her from being devoured by flesh-hungry animals. Those wolves who were once men were of course shunned and hunted by the surrounding settlements, forced to resort to their wolf-like form, they haunted smaller animals, day after day and month after month, their memories of their mortal lives left them, some had forgotten who they were completely and resorted to rapid beasts that were violent and dangerous.

These stories are my take on the Fairytales we know and love. Inspired by the dark tales told by the Brothers Grimm.
