The mostly verbal conflict in Canada with English speakers vs French Speakers was no new thing. France and Great Britain had passed their hatred for each other down to the people of Canada. Even now with their alliance in NATO, the people of Canada are still divided by this language barrier.

When a young Québécois, Erica Ladouceur, moves from the French-Canadian province, Quebec, and into Ontario due to some deep family drama, terror strikes. When the bulling goes from verbal to physical during her lifetime in that town, her family decides to move to the United States, hoping for a better life and more acceptance. She finally finds it in her first friend, a young boy named Phineas Quinn, who will change her life forever...

His sister Kelis finds someone in need of a roommate so he moves in with the girl and gives her his middle name, Lucas. He quickly becomes addicted to the girl and once he gets one taste he's done for. He warns her about his past, about his name, but she ignores all the red flags, not realizing exactly how intertwined she is with the people from his past. He becomes enamored with her, feels like she was made for him while still battling the demons of his past and soon it all becomes too much for him to handle.
