❝freddie, focus on the letter. your grammar's atrocious.❞
❝you know i can't focus when you sit so close to me.❞
arabella sayer is unusual. not quirky or unlike other girls, mind you, and not unusual because she's a witch, but because she is unafraid. ara has never been afraid of anything. she's cuddled with hippogriffs, petted snakes, and once even jumped out of a second-story window to try and catch a butterfly. maybe it comes from being best friends with the weasley twins. ara's not sure. but as she enters her sixth year at hogwarts, two things begin to make her uneasy for the first time in her life: you-know-who's return looms on the horizon--and one of her best friends doesn't feel like just a friend anymore.
fred weasley isn't afraid, either. or at least, when he is, he hides it well. he always gets nervous before quidditch matches or before dumbledore announces the house cup winners (gryffindor the past three years, baby), but nothing makes him as nervous as ara sayer. he's been in love with her since second year, but always kept it to himself for both hers and george's sake. but this year, something's different between them. something electric.
ara will never stop fighting for what's right.
fred will never stop fighting for the people he loves.
maybe it's meant to be.

You're a Slytherin, but your two best friends are none other than Fred and George Weasley from Gryffindor. You've always liked Fred. What if he's always liked you back? What if he wanted to spend the rest of his life with you and only you? This isn't a slow burn, but it's definitely not overwhelming.
The first part of the story is told from your POV.
The second part of the story is told from the letters you send.
This fanfic follows the book plot rather than the movie, and a lot of book scenes are in this fic but they're re written to insert you in.:)
Guys this took me so long to write I'm literally dead.
