Paige was fuming, her hands clenched into fists as she faced Snowflake. "How the hell could you keep this from me?" she yelled, her voice echoing in the empty locker room. Snowflake's face was a mask of guilt and frustration. "I was trying to protect you, Paige. My past is my problem, not yours!" Snowflake shot back, her eyes blazing. Paige's anger only intensified. "Bullshit! You know damn well that everything about your past affects me, especially when it comes out right before my game!" She paced back and forth, her mind racing through the implications. "Do you have any idea what it's like to have fans snapping pictures of us, whispering about your secrets while I'm supposed to be focused on winning?" Snowflake's shoulders slumped, but she stood her ground. "I didn't want to drag you into my mess. I thought I could handle it." Paige stopped in her tracks, glaring at Snowflake. "Well, you didn't handle it. And now it's blown up in our faces. I can't believe you didn't trust me enough to tell me the truth." The tension between them was palpable, and the air seemed to crackle with the intensity of their emotions. The argument left them both raw and wounded, just moments before Paige had to step onto the court and face her biggest challenge yet.
