Evelyn was always doing things to please her parents, even accepting full scholarship into Harvard to study Law just because that's what they wanted. Having graduated as valedictorian of her class, and taking a place in her parents law firm. She loved literature and wanted to become a writer which is why she loved hanging out with Ransoms grandfather Harlan so much. The one thing she never saw eye to eye with her parents on was the fact she was sleeping with Ransom Drysdale. This was the only thing she rebelled against her parents wishes, who were friends with the Drysdale's and always saw Ransom as the black sheep. But one day the unthinkable happened and Evelyn decides to try and take back some control of her own life. Falling into a dark unexpected place can her past come back and save her? Are Evelyn and Ransom destined to be together or destined to destroy each other? Warning 18+ Strong language, Sexual content, Drug Use, Abuse I don't own the rights to knives out character's.

"First you captivated me... then you held me captive." Evelyn was like most college-aged girls working a part-time job when she met Caleb, who came in to her life when she wanted him least but needed him most. He captivated her. By the end of summer, she had fallen in love with him. It was then that he wanted her to meet his parents. And that's when everything changed. Caleb was not the man Evelyn thought he was. He came from a secluded village that did things much differently from the rest of society. Isolated in one of the most sparsely populated areas of the country, it was as if they live in their own little world. They were a traditional village for the most part, but there were some aspects that they did much differently than any other, especially in the ways of courtship. It didn't take long for Evelyn to realize one thing: once you were brought home to meet the parents, there was no escape.
