Dystopian esque sci-fi that I finished writing and queried right before the pandemic started. Weirdly prophetic for how everything's gone since if I do say so myself so figured I'd post and see what you think! This story follows Riley after they are abducted by aliens and told the human race is about to be wiped out by a plague due to their treatment of the planet (literally sent my first query a week before Covid officially became a thing!). Humans were created by these aliens as an experiment and now they are cleaning up the mess they have made before it's too late for earths climate. The story is in Riley's POV as they try to find a better way to save the planet that doesn't involve total genocide.

Please note that only I have edited this and I am only an amateur writer!! I've gotten this baby as good as I can on my own and I very much so hope you enjoy:)

100 years ago, amidst WW3's nuclear bombing, a deadly virus was released in the atmosphere and nearly wiping out the humanity. It lives inside the human brain thriving on the empathy receptors, leading to irrational behaviour and ultimately brain death. To slow the damage, scientists created L.O.V.E, short for Living Off Vital Emotions, a nanovaccine that numbs the virus and switches off all strong emotions. As a last resort and with a dying planet, the Supreme Government created the City, a place to contain the infected survivors suitable for the experiment. Those in the first stages of illness became ideal candidates to receive the neuroinhibitor. Having their feelings restrained and their memory altered, those who come of age are designated a life partner through a Selection process, thus preserving the humankind. A few decades after the trial had started, scientists had a major breakthrough. The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus. These are called Purebloods, the offsprings of those who find pure love, the only cure to save them from a violent death. Running out of time, the Experiment entered in its final stages. To minimize the threats, the Colonies have sent their best soldiers to oversee the trial and protect its key subjects. If only things were going according to plan, or better...stay hidden. With Iron Guard, the resistance outside the walls, hunting the Purebloods too, will the trial save human race before it's too late? #3 in #dystopianfuture (27.06.2020)

Nina is captured by parbeing man. He plans to turn her into his pet. He knows she won't go down without a fight, but he's not prepared for how much 'fight' she has packed in her small body. His new pet leaks into every area of his life, changing things in ways he could never have imagined. Parbeings are the new and improved apex predators of Earth. Created from gene editing, they are the perfect humans, so perfect that they are no longer even considered human. *** Content Warning: The protagonist of this story is a victim of abuse. I do not condone the actions of the antagonist *** Chapter 1 extract: "Hey Alex. Get over here. I've got something for you," he calls into his collar radio. I reach the end of the alley and turn to face my foe once again, but he remains where he is, still blocking my path but not approaching either. New plan: when he gets close, duck under his arms and make a run for it. Now I just have to wait. Before a minute has even passed, another armoured soldier appears and joins the first. This just keeps getting worse. How am I supposed to dodge past two of them? "What do you want now?" the new soldier grumbles. This one must be Alex. "Look at this cute little human I found. She's feisty. I think she's perfect for you." I glare at them. "I don't want a pet human. That's your disgusting fetish, and I'll have no part in it." "Oh come on Captain," the first soldier whines, "You don't have to fuck her, just train her to be obedient. Surely you can control one measly wild human? You are a captain after all. When you're done, you can just get rid of her, like I do with my humans." What the fuck? For a brief moment my fear is replaced by anger. Who do they think they are, talking about me like I'm some kind of wild animal? "Get the fuck away from me! You freaks!" I screech. The first soldier just flashes an evil grin. They don't budge. "Are you just going to let her talk to you like that?" he goads Alex. (Complete. 70k words.)

*All characters are made by me. This is a copyrighted work!* *Currently editing* Nathan Hart is the last person left alive in a charred, dystopian Los Angeles. Alone, he manages to survive for four years in a land of animated death. Most of the world's population has been decimated by a brain eating virus, mutated from COVID 19. It causes its victims to attack and cannibalize other humans, and it keeps them moving even after their heart has stopped beating. While looting a store one day, Nathan stumbles across Nigel, a tourist from Texas who's been hiding from the virus for four years in a Long Beach hotel. Unfamiliar with the city of angels, he petitions Nathan for help. An unlikely friendship begins to blossom between the two males as they make their way across the city in search of a map that will guide Nigel home. Will the pair succumb to the hungry monsters that now control the planet? Or will they be steamrolled by something far more dangerous; love? Trigger warning ⚠️ This is a queer love story between two men. This story contains drug us, gore, foul language, talks and references of homophobia, dismemberment, death, and sexual activity. It's not recommended for anyone under the age of 18. *Currently editing*
