A Snowstorm was due to pass Snowdin that day. It was just starting now. Papyrus was lucky that he was able to get home early with no knowledge of what was in store for that day. Sans was slacking off on the couch as usual so he told him to do the laundry to have more warm clothes for later that night. After storming off to his room the returning with with a new pair of clothes on he went to check on his brother to see if he was being productive only to find a concerning mess in his brother's room with him too gone. The room looked like it was attempted to be cleaned but unintentionally got messed up after something happened. He too was concerned but brushed it off knowing that his brother would disappear suddenly sometimes. But the mess that was left and no warning of his disappearance would disturbed him as the days went on.

But one day, when the friend from the RUINs makes a strange request of Sans, he couldn't help but give her his word and make a promise. However... When he sees the subject of his promise exit the RUINs- A strange, wayward, dust-covered human- Sans questioned whether he'd be able to stay true to his word. UPDATE: Uh, so, my headcanons have changed quite a bit from when I wrote this, including Sans' attitude at some points, the Mettaton NEO situation, the Alphys evacuation, and other things.
