The night was ablaze as Damian Wayne, known as Nightwing, soared through the shadows of Gotham City. His vigilante attire, a blend of black and blue with a stylized winged emblem, symbolized his transformation into a symbol of hope. Grey strands, like whispers of the past, intermingled with his wavy black hair, giving him an air of wisdom beyond his years. Standing at an impressive 6'4", Damian possessed a lean, agile frame, honed through years of rigorous training.

By his side, Isabella, known as Nightshade, commanded attention with her presence. Her costume, a combination of sleek black and regal purple, accentuated her curves while emanating an air of mystery. Her long, curly black hair, adorned with grey strands, danced around her shoulders, hinting at the countless times she had defied death's grip.

"That name's familiar, right, Mr. Wayne?" Gotham City's vigilantes find a mysterious young woman in building rubble, unharmed but shaken. No reason for being there, no origin, record or trust, even in the Batfamily. Then she drops a bombshell; she knows who Batman is and she's determined to face him. After outracing death, unprocessed demons of the past and present have caught up. Her refusal to trust anyone brings tension to the Batfamily and envelops the Justice League, exposing her connection to a man whose very moniker makes them wonder if she's trustworthy. Why pursue them, or what chased her to? Walls must crumble on each side to help who she was before emerge--from memories even she's reluctant to acknowledge. She may also just be a kindred spirit; damaged. Dark connections are never evident, and unimaginable worlds exist outside your comfortable cities or worst nightmares... but love, family and loss is universal. Mourning alone, far from home, is where no one deserves to be. *Recommended ages 15+. Based in the 'Wayne Family Adventures' universe (not including chapter 7, that's a joke, non-canon chapter), featuring plots, characters and timeline factors from other DC movies, universes and comics, but some original concepts for certain, small DC characters. (I own nothing, it's fanfic. Cover photo is the Webtoon art with a stock image. All belong to their respective creators/companies.) Strong language, violence and implied sexual or intense situations. Brace yourself; that's the trigger warning. The protagonist is an OG character.

Carston's thick blonde hair was always neat but he felt the urge to run his fingers through it. And his laugh? Oh dear Gotham his laugh. It was an inside joke. Each of the 'batfam' had a weakness. No one - not even Alfred - knew Batman's. Damian's was easy; Damian's was the heat. Couldn't stand it; he got way too hot way too quickly. Tim's was the dark. Was never found asleep without either a light on or the door open with a light on outside. Jason's was water. He couldn't hold his breath and had panic attacks when he had prolonged contact; say he was in a pool. Dick had two; cold and poison. He froze in twelve degrees (C) and never left the house with a jacket on. And the poison traveled at least three times as fast through his bloodstream as he didn't clot easily. Alfred had one too; as impossible as it seems. His was his age; he was nimble, yes, quick, yes, agile, yes, but occasionally his limbs cramped, or he had trouble breathing. ---Ⓜ️ for blood, gore etc, and bad language! ---
