Emery Rhys and Mary McGarrett have been best friends since childhood, but life took them on different paths. Emery became a top agent in the DEA, after Mary focused on her family after the loss of there mother Mary didn't want to bring Emery down that horrible road with her. However, destiny has a way of bringing people together, and Steve, Mary's brother paths cross once again. Steve has always had a crush on Emery since he was young, and working together brings them closer than ever before. As they face dangerous situations and work to take down a notorious criminal, their feelings for each other grow stronger. But timing is everything in life, and with Emery leaving the DEA it became a big shock to Steve because he knew Emery loved being in the Law Enforcement but once he found out Emery lost her brother and was stepping down. He offered her a position that has a very huge body gaurd that would protect her and that man was known as Commander Steve McGarrett.
