A goddess cast from the heavens who crash-landed on Valisthea. Not an Eikon, but a being from the unknown. Known as Gaia, the goddess of life reads the fate written in the stars for the dwindling world. Alas, her own fate is not foretold by the cosmos and she must come to terms with the reality of her presence among the inhabitants of the planet.

Under the name of Lyra, the goddess seeks to heal the world she has come to cherish while fighting against its predestined fate. Defying fate and changing destiny, she takes up arms with those who wish to see the world of Valisthea flourish again.

A dragon without its rider is a tragedy. A rider without their dragon is dead. - Article One, Section One, The Dragon Rider's Codex "Anyone else feel like changing their mind?" Xaden shouts, scanning the remaining rows of cadets with the same shrewd gaze of the navy-blue dragon behind him. "No? Excellent. Roughly half of you will be dead by this time next summer." The formation is silent except for a few untimely sobs from my left. "A third of you again the year after that, and the same your last year. No one cares who your mommy or daddy is here. Even King Tauri's second son died during his Threshing. So tell me again: Do you feel invincible now that you've made it into the Rider's Quadrant? Untouchable? Elite?" No one cheers. Another blast of heat rushes - this time directly at my face - and every muscle in my body clenches, preparing for incineration. But it's not flames... just steam, and it blows back Rhiannon's braid as the dragons finish their simultaneous exhale. The breeches on the first-year ahead of me darken, the color spreading down his legs. They want us scared. Mission accomplished. "Because you're not untouchable or special to them." Xaden points toward the navy dragon and leans forward slightly, like he's letting us in on a secret as we lock eyes. "To them, you're just the prey." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Whose that?" "Rhae Sorrengail, the forgotten daughter. She's Violet's twin, they're nothing alike though. Violet is the calm before a storm, and Rhae is the hurricane. The anger and stubbornness of that woman are insane." "God forbid she and Xaden stay in the same room for too long. Someone would likely end up dead." Started: June 5, 2025. When the Stars Remembered

29 parts Complete

They say the stars used to sing. Not in words, but in pulses of light-glimmering songs that stitched the sky together like lullabies spun in gold. Each constellation was a memory, each flicker a feeling, each falling star a promise whispered across lifetimes. Back then, the night sky was alive. And so were the hearts that remembered it. But the stars are silent now. Their voices lost to the wind. Their names scattered across forgotten skies. Their light dimmed beneath centuries of silence. The world moved on. Kings fell. Empires crumbled. Lovers turned to dust. And the stars blinked out, one by one, until the heavens became nothing more than a quiet canvas-pretty, but empty. Or so they thought. In a lighthouse on the edge of the world, a girl watches the sea and feels something stir. She does not know why she wakes with stardust in her hair. She does not know why her dreams are made of fire and falling light. She does not know that she once burned brighter than the moons. Her name is Lyra. She has lived seventeen years in silence. But the stars have not forgotten her. One of them is already falling. A boy carved from light and memory. A soul who has searched through centuries to find her again. And when he lands, the sky will remember. And the stars will begin to sing.
