Lena Katina and Yulia Volkova, two high school girls who thought they couldn't have been more different, cross paths by chance one afternoon at their school's talent show auditions after years of only having brief interactions at school. The musical talents they each display at the auditions unlocks a bond between the now iconic duo, leading to an unexpected friendship that blossoms over and over again, guiding them down paths they never could have dreamt of discovering alone. The girls ultimately decide to join forces, forming the alternative pop/experimental band they call "t.A.T.u".

As their bond deepens over a year, news arrives of a renowned producer (Ivan Shapovalov) joining the panel of judges for the girls second year competing in the school talent show together. The winners are promised a contract with his label, aligning perfectly with Yulia and Lena's goals. Will victory be theirs, or will their sneaky school bully, Angeline, concoct yet another scheme to undermine their happiness?

Follow the girls in this day-by-day story as they confront their bully (Angeline), work together to discover their band's unique sound as they try to follow the path to stardom, regularly defy curfews to sneak out late at night and stir up trouble, and ultimately discover the true essence of love. Through every obstacle, they stand strong, holding hands, pushing past hardships to reach their shared goals to conquer the music industry together.
