In present day NYC, Audrey is a girl who doesn't fit in. She's not interested in social media or getting the latest thing. Instead, she dreams of writing books. Fantasy stories that take her far away from her struggling family and the bullies. She has spent years of her life fascinated with tales of dragons, battles lost or won, kingdoms conquered or destroyed. Then one day, it becomes a reality. Amadeus is a King. He is also living in the present day, but not like we know it. He is ruler of the small island kingdom of Belidure, which has remained untouched by the outside world for hundreds of years. With his parents' recent death and his kingdom slowly collapsing, he needs a Queen to make the kingdom whole. Amadeus has been looking far and wide, and is beginning to give up. Then he meets Audrey. Audrey is faced with a decision. Does she give up her dreams to save Amadeus and his people? Or will she go against the feelings she has for Amadeus and Belidure to write her own story?

King of the North Aeron Rosenthal demands to marry Arven's only princess Aelia Windsor. Pushed to a corner by the only dragon rider left on the planet, the king of Arven agrees. But at the wedding Aeron's true intentions are shown... ________ Reader discretion advised. If you cannot stomach stories that are brutal, unfair, deal with a lot of trauma and angst, I advise you to not even bother clicking on the first chapter. There is enough dark romance/bad boy meets nice girl/ medieval fantasy books here that will be more up your alley. This is very niche and a story that tackles topics that I personally like to engage with, regarding trauma and healing. If you are interested in more complex topics and you do enjoy reading about the human psyche, with a more mature tone, fitting it's time, then I am really happy to take you with me through the story. But for everyone else I am sorry if you started this book with different expectations just to be hit with mature themes and I would really ask for you to not comment how disappointed you are in the direction I take the story bc this is really a story I intended to tell even if it's not for you personally. My english isn't perfect, and I apologize for phrasing things in a very clumsy way sometimes and I appreciate any help to better my writing and criticism regarding my writing. Honestly I really want to tell a story in the most captivating way and every reader is much needed feedback.
