BEAUTY AND BEAST

Once upon a time, there was a prince who ejects the goddess Oxum who is disguised as a black beggar. She curses him: You will fall madly in love with the first black woman you see. The black girl, called Bela, goes to look for her father who is imprisoned in the prince's castle. She takes his place, because she is good and brave. In love with her, the prince does what she wants, which, however, refuses his gifts, refusing to be bought. Bela has a twin sister, Elizabête, who changes places with the other when she learns of the life of a princess she can lead. Cruelly, Elizabête dominates the prince and the entire court. However, in love with the hunter Raton and wanting to run after him, she switches places again with Bela for a while, threatening her sister to be as bad as her, otherwise everyone would be suspicious. Bela tries hard, but her generous, refined and highly cultured nature betrays her, surprising the court.
