Ashley is the standard issue of an anti-social, unimportant teenage girl. That is, until one day she wakes up in the middle of nowhere, the size of a toddler, with freaking amazing hair, somehow as an elf(ling) and with no idea how to get home. And the last, I repeat last, thing she needs is to be found by a certain company of dwarves, ironically after a certain group of goblins, and get involved in a stupid conflict. Sure she would love to help out, but did she mention everyone is a complete idiot?!? She may have loved the hobbit book, but in this weird world that cant seem to decide if its that or the movie she just needs a break, and somebody to invent pizza already. Can she ever return home, and the bigger question, will she want too? A secrete past will be revealed, and friends new and old shall appear. Last, but not least, damn the stupid Valar!
This is a second attempt at this story, and is set in a cross between the hobbit movies and books. Spoilers for all things Tolkien and some curses and violence. First book, so any comments or advice would be welcome + plus like me and I will love you forever.

The youngest of Lord Elrond's children has always been different from her siblings. A part of her seemed to be locked away, waiting for the right moment to burst forth. Despite this, she was loved, she was treasured and she was protected... until she wasn't. The day she unlocked her true self is a day that haunts her. Instead of the assured protection of her family, she became the protector. That day lingers. It scars. The traumatic event not only affected her but her family. As time moves forward the scar remains, not loudly or visible but it remains. Until an event occurs and that nightmare was said to slink back into darkness, providing a semblance of peace. A small fire, a source of heat for her but a beacon for unsavoury characters. That is all took for the nightmare to come back. That once locked part now pulsates. A warning perhaps or a sign of evolving. She seeks out a wizard for her answers and instead she leaves with more questions and uncertainties. How she still looked majestic, despite the scars on her face and hands was questionable. Why the elleth was in Rohan and where she disappeared to from time to time was a mystery. I do not have any copy right claims regarding the original books or movies this fanfiction is based on and I do not make any money from this content.
