Davis Cori Ryder has two brothers and a loving mom and dad.
Well... She had that. Right up until her mom and younger brother got in a car accident which resulted in them both passing away. Then her older brother graduated high school and started his own business. Her dad buried himself in work. Her amazing friend August Brady Maverick moved away before the accident. A year after she moved away Davis lost her younger brother and her mom. August did her best to help her friend cope from a state away, but loss is hard to help. Davis and her dad moved to the same town August's family did a year after the passing of Davis's mom and brother. Now she has a loving friend group that doesn't know half of that. They know that she lost her mom, but they don't know that she had a younger brother who she also lost. They don't know how she lost her mom, they also don't know about the trauma and ptsd that came with that, that has been affecting her everyday life. They all have little bits of themselves that have been broken and they are all trying to help each other heal. This is the story of broken people. Lots of people are broken. Some just feel it differently. How deep is the mud? It depends who you ask.
