A young guy by the name of Sook-won lived in the busy metropolis of Seoul, South Korea, where neon lights flickered and life moved at an unceasing pace. He was attractive but haunted, and he had emotional and physical scars from a life of abuse. He was an orphan who was born in a slum and was forced to fend for himself in a cruel society. Sook-won's life was a struggle; he spent his days doing backbreaking work just to get by. Despite the difficulties, he had an unbreakable spirit that would not give in to hopelessness. Selfishness was a characteristic that was ingrained in him since it was a necessary quality. He had learnt to prioritize taking care of himself in a world that had treated him like a used rag. He didn't have the luxury of trust, and in order to survive the perilous route in front of him, he had to rely only on his own survival instincts and skills. But there was something about Sook-won that made him different from other people. He was a member of the mysterious vampire race, which he was unaware of. His full personality was dormant within him, waiting for the appropriate time to manifest. To keep the balance between the worlds of the supernatural and the mortal, a clandestine group of human enforcers sought these supernatural beings in the shadows of the city. These enforcers were taught how to spot and get rid of any evidence of a supernatural force that endangered peace in the world. Sook-won unknowingly came into the sights of these enforcers when his life became entwined with the paranormal. They detected a distinctive quality about him-an energy unrelated to the earthly world. They set out to eliminate what they believed to be a menace to humanity, so they started to follow him relentlessly. Thus started the tale of Sook-won, an abandoned orphan who later turned reluctant vampire. The setting was modern Korea, where the lines between the mortal and the supernatural were hazy and the cost of survival was always high.
