In the wake of Light Yagami's demise, the world is left reeling from the revelation of Kira's identity and the existence of the Death Note. While many celebrate Light's downfall as a victory for justice, others are left questioning the ethical implications of his actions.
Amid the chaos, a new protagonist emerges-a young and ideal law student named Haruki Kurokawa. Haruki is fascinated by the mysterious Death Note and becomes determined to uncover the truth behind its origins and the extent of its powers.

Haunted by his own sense of justice and torn between his desire to bring about a just world and his fear of falling into the same darkness as Light, Haruki must navigate a treacherous path. Along the way, he discovers a diary that Light kept, filled with his thoughts and plans for the future. This diary becomes a guide for Haruki as he struggles to find his own identity and purpose.
As Haruki investigates the Scribes of Judgment, he realizes that there is a far more sinister force at play-a hidden organization manipulating events from the shadows, seeking to harness the power of the Death Note for their own nefarious purposes. Haruki must gather allies, including former investigators and allies of L, to uncover the truth and put an end to the organization's dangerous machinations.
