After the destruction of Hometree, Madison was overwhelmed with despair and heartache for the tree that had become her adoptive home. Wounded and in pain, she fled into the forest, unnoticed by the Na'vi of the Omatikaya clan, including Tsu'tey. Consumed by guilt-although she was unaware of the true cause of the disaster-she was terrified that they would blame her, preventing her from joining them or even worse, seeking her life.

As she stumbled through the forest, clutching her injured ribs, the pain became unbearable and she eventually collapsed.

When she came to, she realized she was no longer in the woods, but in a hut, still wracked with pain.

Madison's life is on the brink of transformation as she stands to gain respect and acceptance.
