Due to signing up right after Ellie was born, she could never spend time with her. Still, she found a new reason to join the army. To set the best possible example for her child

Unfortunately, the war eventually spread to the redheaded General Of The Army's residence in Canada, endangering innocent lives and those she cares about. Her husband, Harry, was caught in the crossfire, but not by the enemy. He was killed by Daryl, whose crimes and lies were revealed worldwide.

This fueled both Debra and Ellie with a new motivation. Like her mother, she also trained in martial arts. But, it was more to protect her friends from bullies who harassed them at school. She even taught them all she knew so they could defend themselves. After her father died, though, she decided to become the vigilante "Anti-War" to protect her hometown
