Underneath the catacombs during the battle of Gatlon, Simon finds a little girl, who runs away into the tunnels. A few weeks later, Nova goes back to the Cathedral and meets a little boy with the prodigy ability to make her see hope. A year later, the Renegades find a child in the subway tunnels with the Anarchists. And nine years after that, when a new Super villain shows up, the Renegades know exactly what is going on.
Or: A fix-it for Nova's childhood by giving the Anarchists legal custody of her and making Callum her best friend.
