"I have a proposition for you," He said then, leaning back in his chair and looking at her with a smirk. "One that would be beneficial for both of us."

Hermione raised an eyebrow. "Go on."

"See, my mother has been trying to set me up with eligible women for a while now, and I, to be quite honest, cannot be bothered with it," He explained.

"What does that have to do with anything?" She asked, her brow furrowing in confusion.

"Answer me this: out of all the men that you could possibly date, who would annoy Weasley the most?"

"What-" She froze, his words starting to sink in and she stared at him in shock. "You're not suggesting..."

"Oh, but I am." He grinned widely, realizing that she was catching on now and he leaned forward to say in a low voice. "It's perfect; I get my mother off my back for the time being, and you can annoy the piss out of your ex-fiancé. Which, frankly, is a benefit for me too."

She continued to stare at him, her jaw dropping slightly. "Are you really suggesting that we date?"

"Not date," He shook his head quickly and corrected her, "Fake date."

"What on earth are you talking about?"

"A completely fabricated relationship," He said, smiling widely now. "And it doesn't even need to be long term. We can fool everyone for a few months, and then call it off amicably with no one the wiser."

"A fake relationship." She blinked a few times, really thinking it over now. She would have been lying to herself if she said the idea didn't sound tempting. And it would truly annoy Ron...

After a sudden, unexpected breakup with Ron, Hermione finds herself in a fake relationship with none other than Draco Malfoy, and as the ruse goes on she starts to question everything she thought she knew about herself and those around her.

Hermione walked through a narrow street before she finally arrived right where she wanted to be. Hermione carefully made her way through the crowd until she was standing right under the balcony of Juliet. Hermione smiled to herself and took in a deep breath. She made it. She had been traveling the past three months through Europe. First Spain, where she had stayed for a month, then France and now Italy. In every place she had stayed she had worked to earn some more money to get to her next destination and up until now everything worked out pretty good. She knew running away had been a good choice, even though it broke her heart to leave everyone and everything behind, especially Draco. As she looked up at the balcony of Juliet, right there in the city of Verona, she felt an urge to call Draco, the person she would've loved to have with her right there and then. But she knew she couldn't. She needed to keep her distance and she obviously knew calling wouldn't get her very far, as for the fact Draco didn't have a mobile nor did he probably ever see one. And who says he wanted to even see her? Or hear from her? It wouldn't surprise her if he never wanted to see or hear her again. The sequel to Love Doesn't Lie (Dramione Love Story). What happened after Hermione left? And where did she go to? Will she ever come back? Will she ever be reunited with Draco, the love of her life, or did she find someone else? And what happened to Ginny, Harry, Ron and the others? And what about the True Love bond Draco and Hermione share? It's been one year since Hermione had lost Ron. She's growing tired of friends and family treating her as if she could break at any second. All she wants to do is be there for her daughter, Rose. As life would have it, she gains a new friend, and maybe even a second chance at love. Draco has been a single parent for a while. He wants to be the best dad that he can be to Scorpius. His life has become even more complicated when he tries to help his new friend, his former boss, Hermione Jean Granger-Weasley. ~excerpt: How could Ginny do this to her? To her! They were supposed to be best friends, sisters even. A hand wrapped around her wrist. "Go away Ginny." She bit the words out. A low chuckle rumbled behind her. "Too bad I'm not the Potter." Why did he have to follow after her! "Go away, Malfoy." The hand dropped away from her wrist. "So, it's Malfoy again." The pain in his words brought Hermione to a halt. "Why did you follow after me?" She whispered without turning around. Draco chuckled and she could imagine him running his hand through his hair. "It's quite obvious why Ginny did this." Hermione turned around to look at him, stunned that he had called Ginny by her name. He brought his eyes to meet hers and laughed. "Apparently, not that obvious." He continued when she remained quiet. "She's playing matchmaker." Ginny was doing what! Hermione was going to have to have a long chat with her friend. "I'll tell her to stop." She said tersely. "Why?" Did he really just ask her why? He should be the one to know why, Hermione had told him the reason why they would never be together. Then she remembered his words from that day, he had told her that she was worth the wait. . . . . . . . Characters belong to J.K Rowling.

"I know you're skirting around the subject again, Draco, so you might as well just say what you want to say." He looked up at me then, a barely readable expression on his face. My chest tightened slightly as he just watched me, his eyes tracing over my face. After a few silent minutes, he finally straightened up in his chair and tossed the Prophet into the chair next to him before looking back at me. "Weasley is an idiot." It's 2002, four years after Hermione graduated from Hogwarts. In the midst of planning her wedding to Ron, her life turns upside down by news that breaks her heart, and when a certain blond wizard shows back up in her life, she realizes that maybe what she planned for isn't what she truly wants.
