The world has ended. It wasn't the big explosive thing everyone had expected. No single moment of collapse, no one person to blame. Only a long, insidious torment. A trial with no end. Alek knows this well. He's one of the last few, aimless and broken; part of those who roam the silent ruin. Until one day, he stumbles upon a house. A relic of the past. And through a simple game of chance and choices, he is set upon a path he never intended to walk. A path that will only lead to more deaths, more questions... and things crueller still. Rosa Valez found herself sucked through a portal and into a completely alternate universe to be sold as a slave. She's a mother hen to all the newbies in this god-awful world, but it keeps her too busy to think about how hopeless her situation is. If she can find the right sucker to buy her, she might be able to escape and free everyone. Garin'thar has been living among his fellow orc tribesmen raiding nomads in the Prison Realm. When he finds an undeniable human for sale he suddenly decides that maybe he can have the wholesome domestic life he's secretly always wanted. He has no idea what Rosa has in store from him, and she has no idea what Garin'thar is willing to do to keep her.
