This all changed when he met a certain someone. He felt a sense of Happiness around this person. He didnt feel so empty. Ignoring his promise completely he try to get closer to this someone, despite his terrible social anxiety and poor ability to speak to others confidently. Despite the other not showing interest, doesn't mean the aren't interested. The other person was starting to feel the same happiness rise in them. They werent known to show emotion. In this au, Giyuu is not the water hashira, but Sabito is. They both passed final selection but due to Giyuu's eye injury he is blind in his left eye and keeps a bandage around it. He has a mellowed out personality but smiles and expresses his emotions. Sanemi Shinazugawa is preforming the hashira training and since all ranks have to participate he met Giyuu and was instantly wooed by Giyuu's strength, he saw Giyuu as an angle to the point Giyuu kept leaving an imprint on his mind.
