Anya is a typical teenager who has her own style and does things the way she wants... on the outside anyway. But on the inside of her life she's everything but you everyday high school student. With barely being able to keep a job she struggles to stand on her own two feet while juggling the the responsibilities of a teenager as well as being a mom to her little brother. But everything changes all within a few moments and without knowing the impact that he'll have on her and her brother's life she meets Shane, a guy from the wrong side of the tracks who barely makes rent on the cheap apartment he shares with his best friend, Clay. Anya finds herself being squeezed in the already small gap she lives in and she has to make the choice of whether to face her biggest issue, her parents, or to keep running as she raises her little brother with the help of Shane and Clay.
