But the move only stirs up the gaps from her parents lives she always wanted to fill, and she soon finds out they weren't who she thought they were.

On the journey to finding herself, Jessica forms friendships and bonds with the family she always wished of having. But there's always a risk, this risk comes in the form of people out for revenge on the only living child of Jason and Moretta Carson. Jessica.

Jessica lost herself in the small town where she was raised in England, but some god above wants her across the Atlantic, digging up the past, connecting with the soulmates she was bound to eventually meet, and putting to rest the secrets and dangers her parents left behind.

It's only bound to happen she finds a deeper connection to charming, rodeo rider Nathan Bonneville. He'd do anything to protect her

Western Heat by MustangSabby
40 parts Complete Mature
A fish-out-of-water story about a New York City chef who inherits a ranch, discovers a family he never knew, and finds unexpected love with a fiercely loyal woman. For fans of western romance superstars like Lyla Sage and Elise Silver. New York City chef Jake West had it all, but a few strokes of a pen meant no more marriage. No more restaurant. No more big city lifestyle. Then he receives a call explaining that his long-estranged father, Brett, has died, and he needs to return to the Canadian ranch he left as a child. Jake expects to go, sign more papers, and return to the city and rebuild his future. Instead Jake learns that Brett's left the ranch to him-and only him. Things might have been hot in his restaurant's kitchen, but that's nothing compared to what he faces now: a family he didn't know existed, and a property he doesn't want. Tanner and Brady, his half-brothers, don't want him around. And while his stepmother, Peony, welcomes him, there's Liz, Peony's daughter. She's not a West, but her loyalties lie with the family, not an outsider. However, as Jake settles into the rhythms of the ranch, he wonders if he's finally found something that's been missing in his life-especially as he and Liz grow closer. At first, it's just attraction, but when a sudden kiss ignites a heat in both of them, they can't ignore this raging inferno. Maybe Brett West knew what he was doing when he summoned his eldest son back home-and gave him a chance to change his life forever. This is Book 1 of the West Line Ranch Series. Southern Charm by anj6232
26 parts Complete Mature
Jessie White stands out from the crowd. As a Southern woman, she defies the typical expectations. While others her age are embarking on new careers, Jessie's upbringing on a ranch alongside four brothers equipped her with skills many would balk at. She's adept at horseback riding, calving, stall cleaning, and more. Fiercely independent, Jessie refuses to rely on any man, a resolve hardened after heartbreak at the hands of Max Lane, a rancher's son, two years prior. Jessie has resolved to take up bull riding, a skill that appears to be a family legacy. Her lifelong dream has been to ride a bull before an audience, but now, her ambition has shifted to rescuing the White Family Ranch after a substantial portion of their funds vanished and debts began accumulating. Max Lane's family is eager to buy the White Family Ranch, but Jessie refuses to let him take away the one thing that sustains her. Being a beauty bartender owner and a female bull rider makes things challenging. Everyone says she can't do it because she's a woman, but Jessie is determined to prove them all wrong. Initially skeptical, Trace Black doesn't recognize her potential until he witnesses her mount a bull for the first time. Although he may appear arrogant externally, that pales in comparison to his internal complexity. Trace and Jessie are initially oblivious to their chemistry, though it's evident to everyone around them. As Jessie gathers the courage to express her feelings to Trace, the things she dreads occur. However, it doesn't make matters worse; it alters everything profoundly. *WARNING* Book contains language, child loss, trauma, etc. Thank you for choosing my story! Second Chance Romance Love-at-first sight--faster-paced love affair Single father Surprise baby HEA standalone Five years ago, my life changed when my wife left my two-year-old son and me in the middle of the night-breaking my heart. After that, I vowed to friends and family that I'd never fall in love again and would only focus on raising my autistic son and working on my farm and horse ranch. That was until a beautiful blonde-haired, green-eyed beauty moved to my town--changing my life forever. Being stubborn, I did everything I could not to let my ticker control me and my thinking process--avoiding eye contact with Josie, conversations, and what my ticker, mind, and soul was telling me... But then I saw Josie daily at the diner she worked at and became jealous whenever Jack, the town's annoying wanna-be cowboy, tried striking a relationship up with her. I always felt my wife, Hailey, would return to Maverick and me, and we'd be a family again. But the more time I focused on the new girl in town, the more I wanted Hailey out of my life, and the more I wanted Josie in mine. Then, one night, my life forever changed when I allowed a door to open and gave Josie something I said I'd never give--my ticker. Credit for cover: selfpubbookcovers.com/AKcoverdesign
