Living up to society's standards proves to be a perpetual challenge for twelve-year-old Angela Morrison. The fact that she engages in hobbies such as embroidering, reading, and playing the violin does not make her situation any better. The bullies' main source of entertainment is the genius Angela, and her standing up to them years ago made them hate her all the more.

When Angela discovers that her family is moving from Chicago to Dallas, Texas, she has mixed feelings. On one hand, her tormentor Carlotta would finally be out of her life. On the other, she would be leaving behind her only friend Juliet. If the people in her new neighborhood had the same opinion on her as the previous ones, she would probably have no friends at all.

It all started my sophomore year of high school. The first symptom that struck me was the constant headaches. I was easy to brush it off since I had been overwhelmed with before and after school activities. More activities meant more coffee to poison the pain of maintaining my reputation. "It's the stress," I would constantly tell myself. Then it was the small fragments of my memory that kept being stolen away from me. Bits by bits, they would slowly vanish leaving me demented. I though I was going crazy because I couldn't remember simple things like where I lived. It never occurred to me that I would only have 6 months left to live.

High school is the last bit of youth you have before you are let loose into the sticky web of life. Within your last years of schooling, your habits and behaviors are what determine if you are a fly or a spider (at least that's what some people say). Clare Carter and her new group of friends are kicking off the school year in a powerful way as they battle new conflicts and the process of becoming high school students and young adults. Each character has their own unique story and background that will represent how they take each situation that comes up. They must tackle drama that takes place at school and home, as well as survive the activities that Freshman get to experience (homecoming, clubs, heartbreaks/relationships, the stress of doing well in school and figuring out a plan after they graduate). This group of friends are scheduled for a wave of realization if they think they'll stick together throughout all four years of high school. This story is created with my OCs that I have fun drawing. This is not an attempt to be a grand author or writer. I am merely using this opportunity as experience for fleshing out my characters and their personalities and backgrounds.
