Knuckles the Echidna was always a bit of a loner. He spent most of his time on Angel Island, guarding the Master Emerald and keeping to himself. But one day, everything changed.

Silver the Hedgehog had come to Angel Island on a mission to find a powerful object that had been hidden away for centuries. As he searched the island, he stumbled upon Knuckles, who was surprised to see someone else on his turf.

At first, Knuckles was wary of Silver. He didn't like outsiders coming onto his island, and he didn't trust anyone who was trying to take something that didn't belong to them. But as he spent more time with Silver, he began to see the hedgehog in a different light.
