Emalina Larue is a 22-year-old college student known for always being bubbly, happy, and all smiles. She's even acquired the nickname 'smiley' from a friend. However, while she is naturally happy, she struggles with her home life and toxic relationship. She knows she needs to leave the relationship but can't get herself to do it. Will she ever be free? Will anyone find out about what happens at home? Will they judge her for it?

Lorenzo Rossi is a 25-year-old business owner in the city and is pretty wealthy, though he doesn't like to brag. He is the typical "bad boy" looking guy. The question is is he actually a bad guy or does he just wear all black and never smile?

Emalina manages to get a job at that very same business that Lorenzo owns. When she effortlessly becomes friends with co-workers, will it bring her closer to Lorenzo? Will Lina be strong enough to leave her toxic boyfriend? or will she be stuck forever, drowning without anyone realizing?

I'm not good at summaries, just give the story a chance trust me :'-)
